I don't recommend TopTech Ventures. They need to get their act together.

Instead of emailing you the roles that are available, they call you at random time during the day (i.e. 5 AM, 7 PM, 9:30 PM) -- not even during office hours --, ask you if you're interested at this company without giving you the time to consider. In that same phone call, they schedule an interview right away without your consent. There's no follow-up email as to who and when you're supposed to meet.

Multiple recruiters will be working with you instead of just the first person you have talked to. They're quite desperate so they will call you, then call you with an unknown number if you didn't pick up right away, and text you if you still didn't pick up. They do this multiple times throughout the day until they can get a hold of you. It's like spam.

What annoys me the most is the multiple mishaps and accusations that ensued. For example, more than three times, they asked you why you haven't responded to the company when they themselves forgot to forward that email to you. Then they blamed you and asked if you even wanted to find a job. The accusations go further in that they get quite upset at you if you did not respond back within 24 hours or when you did not complete the tech homework questions within the next day. I have never been treated so poorly by any other recruiter agency.

This is my experience. I might be just unlucky with all the recruiters in their team. Or the entire organization is like that. You be the judge.

I can echo almost all of the experiences above.

I can say that while it may be nice to have a recruiter who calls instead of emails, if that's your preference, I also had a bit of a mixup when their recruiter called for my availability, and then booked something on my calendar without confirmation for the next day. Since their email client sent this invitation as a regular email, with an ambiguous subject line, I had no idea it was a calendar invite for the next morning.

Fortunately, I was available to take the call and it went smoothly. However, when I called to resolve the mixup, even though I was diplomatic and only wanted to confirm the process I should expect and iron out the details, the recruiter was defensive and accusatory, and tried to lay the blame on me. She also tried to shame me by saying the company may not move forward because of the confusion. Extremely unprofessional behavior.
